System 2
For System 2, we have achieved higher power handling, better midrange clarity. and deeper bass performance.
BASS PERFORMANCE
Every Walls of Sound system has twin Bass units per channel. As with System 1, we use an 8" Bass driver for System 2, but these units have heavier aluminium cones foe deeper, more powerful bass, with lower distortion and higher power handling. All of the advantages of using bass units in pairs are here (see System 1) with even deeper bass and power for the larger room. These units have extraordinary performance for their size, with a resonance at 26Hz, and very low Harmonic and Intermodulation distortion throughout their frequency band. In a cavity wall location, we have measured a rising response at 20Hz with these units.
MIDRANGE TWIN
Very recently released, these 3" drivers achieve a performance hitherto unheard of for their size. Flat frequency response for 6 octaves, low distortion, and amazingly high power handling sets these units apart. We used them as twinned pairs to lower distortion and raise power handling still further, and extend their frequency response to well above 4KHz. The MTM (Mid-Treble-Mid) arrangement achieves superb vertical polar response.
RING RADIATOR HIGH FREQUENCY UNIT
This unit is a justifible favourite of High End designs, and its frequency response on axis is ruler flat out to 40KHz, with very low distortion. It is the ideal match for the 3" midranges.
CROSSOVER: 2nd Order Linkwitz-Riley electrical, 4th Order Acoustic (Mid/HF).

MID/HF- single per channel- 37.5CM x 26CM
PERFORMANCE
FREQUENCY RESPONSE: 25Hz-27KHz on axis. Bass response may well be better, depending on the room etc.
