Aesthetics

For many people, large box loudspeakers and their associated wires are incompatible with beautiful rooms.

Sometimes, both conflict and disappointment can arise as a result of disagreements between partners relating to the location, or possibly even the existence of loudspeakers, and therefore, a high end audio system.

Compromise can often be a challenge. Often, in order for an audio system to be accepted in the home, the speakers have needed to be extremely small, if not completely invisible. To date this has been achieved in one of two ways, either through the use of mini speakers or custom installations, both of which have significant disadvantages for the music lover. True High End sound has only been achieveable via large box loudspeakers, and even more unfortunately, up till now the general rule has been that the larger the speaker, the better the sound.

A visit from an Interior Designer convinced the founder of Walls of Sound that large box loudspeakers did not belong in beautiful rooms. The result is a solution which will satisfy the keenest audiophile and maintain the beauty of the listening room. Put very simply, large box loudspeakers are not the ultimate expression of High End Audio.
