What's next?

First of all, we need to ascertain whether it is possible to fit a Walls of Sound system into your home, which typically depends on whether it has cavity exterior walls. If your house was built in the last 70 years, there is a very good chance it will have. A brick or blockwork cavity wall is the ideal environment for your loudspeaker system.

We have in the past built systems into solid stone walls, but optimum performance of this system occurs when installed within cavity brick or breezeblock walls. It is also possible to build a System into stud walls, but the same caveat applies.

Measurement

If your house is made of brick, you may (if you wish) be able measure the space available by using a window frame as a guide. This can be done by adding the depth of the frame (from front to back) to the wall overhang on both the inside and outside of the house.

You should find a total depth of about 279 - 297mm (11 - 11.7”) which is two courses of brick, a cavity of 63 – 75mm (2.5 – 3”) and plaster – which is the space we would typically require for an installation.

Dealers

Walls of Sound works with a network of national dealers. In order that you can experience the full splendour of the Walls of Sound solution for yourself, we would encourage you to take a visit to your local dealer as a first port of call.

Home visit

Following on from that, the dealer will be able to arrange a mutually convenient time for us to carry out an assessment of your home, to ensure that an installation would be possible and to discuss system options.

Selecting a System

We have developed five systems, including installation and calibration to your room’s acoustics, ancillaries and personal preferences. The system price includes all preparation, cabling, installation, testing and re-decoration. All systems are now three-way, to optimise the bass performance in your listening room.
