THE RISE OF HOME THEATRE
Image 1

We believe that in future, Home Theatre will take over from TV and Hi-Fi systems as the ultimate Audio Visual experience. You can already buy CD's which contain an extra DVD of the same titles, allowing you not only to hear the music but also watch the performers as well. It is also a fact that Blue Ray discs have far higher sound quality potential than their CD counterparts, revealing detail in the music previously unheard.

It therefore demands that loudspeakers for Home Theatre  match the quality of their High End stereo cousins, but to date that is rarely the case.

We have designed systems for 5.1 and 7.1 channel Home Theatre which match or even exceed the sound quality of. their 2 channel counterparts .

We use our Systems 1-5 to be the Main Left and Right speakers, and create centre and rear speakers using identical components to create  an unforgettable audio experience, while at the same time hiding all the drive units and wires in the walls of your room.

SUB BASS

For Systems 1 and 2, we add a Sub Bass Unit into the cavity wall. Depending on requirements, we can change the Bass Units in Sysyem 3 and 4 to be dedicated Sub Woofer units. System 5 has no need of them !

THE SINGLE WALL SURROUND SPEAKER

Most lounges and listening rooms have 1 or 2 exterior cavity walls, with the remaining interior walls built from a single course of brick or blockwork. The ideal situation  is to site the Main Home Theatre speakers (Front Left, Front Right,  Front Centre and Sub Bass) in a cavity wall, while the rear and side speakers can be built into the single walls. We have developed units which perform superbly in these locations, using  the same drive units as the front speakers (to maintain tonal consistency and accuracy). These differ from the Main Front Speakers only in that they are in effect full size"box" speakers hidden in the single wall. This prevents sound transmission into adjoining rooms.

THE FRONT CENTRE SPEAKER

The front centre speaker for a Home Theatre System is the most critical of all. It carries over 60% of all program content, and is particularly critical for dialogue. We construct the Front Centre Speaker using the same drive units as the Front Left and Right, but with Twin Mid/Bass and single Treble units, in a D'Appolito arrangement. These units should be arranged in a vertical array, in line with the Left and Right, but often a horizontal arrangement is satisfactory.
